This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Kolab Android mobile application (the "App"). We are a company based in India. This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the rules made thereunder, Google Play Store Developer Policy requirements, and the YouTube Application Programming Interface (API) Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us and data gathered automatically when you use the App.
Information You Provide to Us:
- Registration Data: Full name and email address when you register for an account.
- Google Account Information: Information provided when you choose to sign in with your Google account.
- Brand Information: For brands, we collect the brand name, Goods and Services Tax (GST) number, website URL, Instagram handle, and specific niche.
- Campaign Data: Campaign titles, budgets, descriptions, and locations.
- Financial Information: UPI ID (collected strictly for payment tracking purposes).
- Communications: Messages sent between users (brands and influencers) on the platform.
- Payment Data: Payment milestone status and deal codes.
YouTube Channel Data:
If you connect your YouTube account, we use the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API to collect specific data, including:
- Channel ID and Channel Name
- Subscriber count and total views
- Video count and profile image
- Country
- Engagement rate
- Watch time and viewer locations (demographics)
Automatically Collected Information:
- Device and Usage Data: Device information, operating system, and app usage data to help us improve the platform and maintain stability.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our platform, specifically to:
- Match influencers with brands effectively.
- Display relevant channel analytics to potential brand partners.
- Facilitate campaign applications and in-app messaging between users.
- Track payment milestones between brands and influencers.
- Send in-app notifications regarding campaign updates, messages, and platform announcements.
3. Data Sharing
We respect your privacy and only share your data as necessary to provide our core services:
- With Brands: Influencer channel analytics and profile information are shared with brands when an influencer applies for a campaign.
- With Influencers: Brand information and campaign details are shared with influencers browsing or applying to campaigns.
We do not sell user data to third parties, nor do we share your personal data with advertisers.
4. Third-Party Services
We utilize third-party service providers to facilitate our App and provide essential features. These services have their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google): Used for secure authentication, database management, and data storage.
- YouTube APIs (Data API v3 & Analytics API): Used to securely fetch and display detailed channel analytics, including watch time and viewer demographics.
- Razorpay: Used for secure payment processing (v2).
- UPI: Used for generating and processing direct payment links.
5. Data Security and Storage
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information.
- All user data is securely stored on Google Firebase servers.
- Our data storage is localized in the asia-south1 region (Mumbai, India) to comply with data residency preferences and ensure low latency.
While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
6. User Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data on Kolab:
- Data Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly through the App settings. Upon request, we will permanently remove your information from our active databases.
- Data Modification: You can review, update, or correct your profile information at any time within the App.
- Disconnecting Services: You can disconnect your YouTube channel from Kolab at any time, which will stop further data collection from your channel.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is designed and intended for use by adults. Our target audience is individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
8. Changes to Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Effective Date" of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
